What you will do

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the ASC Pickup & Delivery Board in the purchasing department for the schedule of driving activities
  • Planning pickup and delivery routes to insure efficiency over the course of the day and return to ASC in time to unload during regular daily work schedule
  • Pulling & packaging materials for delivery to vendors and sometimes customers
  • Completing inventory pull tickets for items pulled for delivery to vendors providing services on those products
  • Loading vehicles and securing materials for safe transport
  • Driving to deliver materials to vendors for services and customers
  • Driving to complete pickup of purchased or completed items from vendors
  • Driving to pick-up items needed for facility maintenance and S/R
  • Transporting material for production, storage or disposal between ASC’s north and south buildings
  • Unloading vehicles and placing materials in designated areas for receiving and inspection along with adding date of receipt indicator
  • Securing all paperwork from vendors for items pickup and filing it in receiving department in basket
  • Completing expense reports for materials purchased as part of facilities, purchasing or S/R supervisor’s direction as well as fuel & maintenance for vehicles.
  • Help with loading and unloading trucks for other outbound or inbound shipments at ASC’s facilities
  • Other tasks as required from time to time in the shipping and receiving department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of related experience.
  • Commercial Class-C license preferred.
  • Following a conditional offer, selected candidates must successfully complete a DMV driving record check, employment verification, and criminal background check in compliance with the FCRA and California law.
  • Must be able to pass all required pre-employment and random DOT drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Must follow all traffic laws and safety requirements.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and forklift experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate ASC’s Team Values by working safely, maintaining a positive attitude, being eager to learn, working well with others, and producing quality work efficiently.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs or ladders.
  • Must be comfortable driving for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work safely in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
