HR/Payroll Clerk
What you will do
Summary of Functions
- Responsible for processing company payroll labor tracking job costing and other payroll/human resources tasks.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll through 3 rd party provider timely and accurately.
- Process President payroll through ADP and book biweekly journal entry.
- Complete daily labor tracking and production labor entries
- Daily timesheet review.
- Mileage reimbursement calculation and payment.
- Performs additional duties as requested by manager
Organizational Relationships
- Reports to the Human Resources Manager.
- Works closely with Production Engineering and Accounting.
What helps you succeed
Experience and Educational Requirements
- 2-4 years working experience in a related capacity is preferred.
- Must be comfortable and competent communicating with employees about topics related to timekeeping and paychecks.
- Strong organizational skills and high efficiency are a must for this role.
- Proficiency with MS Office and 55 wpm typing is required.
- Proficiency in utilizing 10 key typing and Excel
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to spend extensive amounts of time sitting working on a computer phone and calculator.
- Extensive periods at computer monitor are common.
- Sitting standing and walking for extended periods of time is common.
- Must be able to spend limited amounts of time safely in a heavy manufacturing environment that is not air-conditioned and has exposure to noise and dust/particles caused by welding and other fabrication activities associated with the production of industrial process equipment.
- PPE will be required including hard hats protective glasses and ear protection.
- Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations and reading.
- May be required to climb stairs several times a day.
