What you will do

Summary of Functions

  • Responsible for processing company payroll labor tracking job costing and other payroll/human resources tasks.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll through 3 rd party provider timely and accurately.
  • Process President payroll through ADP and book biweekly journal entry.
  • Complete daily labor tracking and production labor entries
  • Daily timesheet review.
  • Mileage reimbursement calculation and payment.
  • Performs additional duties as requested by manager

Organizational Relationships

  • Reports to the Human Resources Manager.
  • Works closely with Production Engineering and Accounting.

What helps you succeed

Experience and Educational Requirements

  • 2-4 years working experience in a related capacity is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable and competent communicating with employees about topics related to timekeeping and paychecks.
  • Strong organizational skills and high efficiency are a must for this role.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and 55 wpm typing is required.
  • Proficiency in utilizing 10 key typing and Excel

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to spend extensive amounts of time sitting working on a computer phone and calculator.
  • Extensive periods at computer monitor are common.
  • Sitting standing and walking for extended periods of time is common.
  • Must be able to spend limited amounts of time safely in a heavy manufacturing environment that is not air-conditioned and has exposure to noise and dust/particles caused by welding and other fabrication activities associated with the production of industrial process equipment.
  • PPE will be required including hard hats protective glasses and ear protection.
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations and reading.
  • May be required to climb stairs several times a day.
