Organizational Relationships

  • Works as part of the mechanical production team.
  • Supervised by Production Leads.
  • Reports to Mechanical Production Manager.

Experience and Requirements

  • Must have basic welding skills and be able to pass a weld test Must demonstrate a mechanical aptitude and the ability to use tools Must be able to read and understand drawings and written instructions.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have a good attitude be eager to learn and willing to work on a team

Physical Requirements

  • The following requirements are essential for safe performance of this job: Must be able to lift objects weighing 70 lbs. and twist at the waist.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and twist at the waist.
  • Must be able to frequently push and pull objects weighing 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand sit walk squat kneel and lie on level uneven and slippery concrete surfaces.
  • Must be able to reach through low and high ranges and exhibit normal balance and coordination.
  • Must be able to sit and stand on hard surfaces for long periods of time lasting up to 10 hours.
  • Manual dexterity for the use of common tools is required.
  • Must be able to climb using 3 points of contact.
  • Must be capable of working in extreme temperatures (hot and cold).
  • Color vision hearing and vision must be in normal ranges.

Work Environment

  • Must be able to work safely in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to weather conditions such as cold and heat noise and dust/particles caused by welding and other fabrication activities associated with the production of industrial process equipment.
  • PPE will be required which includes hard hats steel-toed shoes protective glasses and ear protection.
  • Additional protective devices are required when appropriate for a given task including protective gloves back braces dust masks or respirators.
