What you will do

Responsibilities

  • Follow drawings and work instructions to build mechanical components of autoclaves ovens sub-components such as frames tanks heaters cooling coils valve trains floors silencers and platforms.
  • Represent ASC’s safety culture by working safely and preventing people from getting hurt.
  • Complete safety forms and attend safety meetings.
  • Plan and gather materials for fabrication to execute assembly builds efficiently.
  • Work on teams under the supervision of a production lead
  • Work as a lead on small to medium sized autoclave and oven builds.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to level I mechanical fabricators
  • Work independently to fabricate 1 ft. – 5 ft. diameter autoclaves
  • Lead mechanical upgrades and small autoclave installations in the field.
  • Responsible for holding safety tailgate meetings completing field paperwork and reliably communicating with the office.
  • Measure cut plasma cut saw grind install and weld and work with various materials such as insulation plumbing components steel plate steel pipe sheet metal angle PVC pipe and fittings.
  • Clean paint wrap move and load completed product to prepare for shipping.
  • Use industrial machinery and tools to perform job duties including but not limited to various types of saws drills grinders jig saw drill press.
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding tasks
  • Travel domestic and/or overseas to various customer sites to perform fabrication installation and repair tasks.
  • Demonstrate compatibility with ASC’s stated Team Values including working safely having a positive attitude leading by example showing an eagerness to learn being a team player working efficiently and focusing on producing quality work.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

What helps you succeed

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year experience as a mechanical fabricator level I or equivalent
  • Must have advanced welding skills and be able to pass a 3G welding test
  • Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and the ability to use tools
  • Must be able to read and understand drawings and written instructions.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have a good attitude be eager to learn and willing to work on a team
