Mechanical Production Manager
What you will do
Responsibilities
- Responsible for mechanical shop fabrication and assembly activities ?
- Meets daily with Production Manager to determine proper resource loading on projects ?
- Communicates daily expectations regarding job assignments and fabrication goals to the mechanical- and ASME-supervisors and leads ?
- Participates in weekly meetings with Upper Management and Production Manager to report progress discuss production issues and set upcoming goals ?
- Motivates and mentors mechanical and ASME fabrication team ?
- Promotes company’s culture with focus on safe work practices quality commitment and employee satisfaction ?
- Manages employees’ work schedules including time off requests and overtime work ?
- Conducts formal performance appraisals and salary reviews per company policy ?
- Initiates disciplinary action (including termination) per company policy as necessary

Requirements
- 5+ years eperience in a related capacity Excellent communication skills and leadership ability Computer and typing skills for efficient emailing writing reviews etc.
- Positive andinspiring attitude Comfortable speaking to larger audience during company/department meetings Proficient at reading and understanding engineering drawings and work instructions Good knowledge of typical tools and machinery used by welders and fabricators Strong reading comprehension as related to customer specifications work instructions and similar documents
