Safety Trainer
What you will do
Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and shop floor training and safe work practices on machinery tools forklifts man lifts and rigging.
- Coach employees on ergonomics injury prevention productivity workmanship standards and shop discipline.
- Support onboarding of new hires and cross-training of existing staff.
- Develop and maintain training programs and visual job aids for equipment operation and shop safety.
- Must feel comfortable behind camera to create video training material content.
- Ensure all training aligns with company procedures and standards.
- Evaluate employee competency identify skill gaps and implement refresher training.
- Maintain training records certifications and skill progression tracking.
- Train employees on shop and field safety LOTO PPE hazard recognition material handling and equipment safety.
- Promote proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Partner with Production Engineering Quality and Maintenance teams to support training needs.
- Assist in training for new equipment tooling and processes and support corrective actions through targeted training.
- Update programs based on process improvements and lessons learned.
- Identify opportunities to enhance safety productivity and workforce readiness.

Requirements
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment and shop operations.
- Experience with forklifts man lifts rigging and material handling.
- Understanding of safety ergonomics and injury prevention.
- Strong communication coaching and team collaboration skills.
- Skilled in assessing performance problem-solving and motivating employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and basic Excel.
- Must be able to type 35+ WPM.
